How to upload a selected sound to one of the four slots in the Spark
There are five red lights between the Spark 40 logo and the earphone mini-jack. The right four of these allow you to select one of four stored tones.
When you have selected a sound you like in the app (and the app is connected), you can keep one of those 4 tone lights pressed for a few seconds to download that sound into the amp present slot.

Re: How to upload a selected sound to one of the four slots in the Spark
I have been unable to save a tone from the tone cloud to any of the 4 presets.
I was able to like it and get it to my Favourites but not to the Spark Amp.
Is it possible?

Yes, that is actually what I explained above. Did you follow the same steps?

Have you downloaded it from tone cloud to your app/phone? Button next to 'Like' button?
After downloading, select it in your app (to where it will show up with the amp and effects images, and click the three dots (top right). Then Save to Hardware... make sure you select the correct Channel. I've accidentally overwritten Channel 1 so many times now.

Thanks Guitaroholic, that worked. Richard, for some reason it did not work the first time. Probably my error.

Re: How to upload a selected sound to one of the four slots in the Spark
When I try to Save to hardware preset I get an error message on my iPhone Spark APP, "Sent to Hardware Error Error: HardWarePreserSlotNot Exist"
If I load a ToneCloud preset in the Spark APP and press and hold one of the four preset buttons on the Spark 40 amp, the tone never changes.
It seems that I'm following the correct procedures but it's not working as expected.
What's wrong and how do I fix it? Thanks

it looks like it doesn't save the preset to your iPhone
and consequently cannot transmit it to the preset button

Re: How to upload a selected sound to one of the four slots in the Spark
I'm pretty sure the presets are saved to my phone. I can close and reopen the Spark app and all the presets that I've downloaded show up in the Spark app.
One issue I just noticed. I can connect to the Spark amp from my iPhone via Bluetooth. I can use the amp as a Bluetooth speaker.
But when I start up the Spark app and hit connect, it fails.
It doesn't matter if I'm already connected or if I disconnect it and try again. ( and keep BT enabled on my phone obviously)
No other devices are connected to the Spark amp. No other devices are connected to Bluetooth on my phone.
I can use Smart Jam and Chord Detection okay. I just can's send any presets to the amp.

Are the firmware and Spark app up to date?
sorry if I ask you questions that may seem obvious to you, but sometimes for this reason they take themselves for granted

Re: How to upload a selected sound to one of the four slots in the Spark
I just did a firmware update, then I had my phone forget all my other Bluetooth connections and when I tried it it finally connected. I'm betting it was down-level firmware.
I'm finally able to send presets to the amp.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
