I just bought the Hendrix package as well, mostly because I really like octave fuzz, so of course that was the first thing I tried. Unfortunately, no matter what guitar/pickup/tone control setting combo I used, I just couldn't get anything resembling what I get from my Danelectro French Toast octave...
